Volunteers Needed To Collect Signatures for Recall

In order to cause a recall election to be held we need to secure approximately 17,000 signatures. Polls are open Nov 4th from 7am until the last voter in line at 6pm votes. To volunteer please e-mail us at recalltavares@gmail.com. Give your full name, e-mail address, phone number and location most convenient for you to be at. Volunteers must be over 18 years of age and residents of Maui. Volunteers will work 3 1/2 hour shifts. Location of polling stations is included in this blog below.

There is substantial interest in recalling Mayor Tavares. We will begin our signature drive on Nov 4th election day. We anticipate having volunteers at each of the 43 polling places. We expect to have 2 volunteers for the first and last shift of the day. The volunteers will be 200 feet away from the actual polling place in order to comply with election laws so look for the yellow and orange recall sign.
